Jaime 2019 Jan-March

January. February. March.

Using Media as Missions

The start of this year as been all about connecting people to missions through media. I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of that journey by helping with videos, posting on social media, tossing ideas around about what is connecting people to YWAM and many other things.

Here’s just a few examples of what that looks liked.

Using Media to Help others make a decision

I was able to assist Brian with the filming of this video about Discipleship Training School (DTS). With DTS being the introductory course with YWAM, it was great knowing that this video could possibly help someone in deciding to come do a DTS with us.

We spent part of the day looking for the right location. I drove us, helped with some audio, used our reflector and a few other things.

Using Media to Encourage people with their passions

One of the coolest things about this ministry is being able to connect with fellow YWAMers around the globe. We have operating locations in Panama, Haiti, Cambodia and a partnership in the Marshall Islands.

We recently heard about a man who has a heart for media and missions. He came across our Haitian Creole worship video on Youtube and was intrigued. He clicked on our channel and then messaged us about taking our Media Missions Short Course.

That was exciting for us to see how a video can connect someone to what they are desiring to do!

Using Media to Reach the Isolated

As I continue to be a part of this organization, I am continually amazed by how God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. A couple of guys in my office put this video together to highlight the impact our ministry is making.

Although it may have taken 2 guys to gather all the footage, we still needed a captain and a crew to run our ship. It took many others to come and help in many areas on board our vessel and many more for the clinics to run in PNG.

Without the support from family and friends back home, many of us would not be here. This video is a collaboration from everyone involved.

Using Media to Teach students
Almost every quarter, our Communications department will have a few DTS students come join us to help assist with completing projects. It's a great way to connect with them and show them another aspect of being in missions.

As this Quarter is coming to a close, I can't help but be excited for what's in store. Our DTS students from September graduated and our January DTS students and full-time volunteer staff are about to head out overseas for outreach.

God is constantly moving and I'm so glad I can share this with all of you!
